noteS:
Metal extractors work on green too, for practical reasons of the TA engine, because I say it is all metal underneath, and because the ai will refuse to build their base on the metal if I use the metalzones features. Get over it.The water on the south end can be crossed by most any unit, with possible (but undiscovered) exceptions. If ur units can't find the shallow area, use contour x to see for yourself. From my experience they find it easily. One warning: this map runs slower than one might think. It chugged on my 64mb 500 Mhz system (but ran nicely w/ 128). And I included a little story for those who care how this place came to be as it is.

Story (for those who care. Ok, because I was a filthy sadist and wanted to make the filesize bigger, because I know no one cares about the geological formation of my map.)

Long after Core Prime was abandoned, by annihilation of the core and apathy of the arm,
a large industrial area was hit by an icy comet. The smaller features of the map were
destroyed, but four large buildings withstood the impact and were formative to the
way that the remaining glacier carved the depression which has now filled with the very
water that created it. Algaes carried by the comet developed, and, against all odds,
turned the metal surface of Core Prime into a thin layer of rich soil. Due to the harsh
solar radiation, the plant life evolved at a rapid pace. From the simple
algaes came forth plants, and from the plants came forth trees, and for the first time in
thousands of years, metal and organic life lived in harmony together. Until Now,
thousands of years after the planet was abandoned, Arm and the Core face each other
in a rematch of the most epic battle of all time--Man, vs Machine.
